The purpose of the Music Ministry is to enhance our Eucharistic celebrations with quality scriptural music.
We are looking for dedicated adults and students that can play an instrument or sing that would enhance the liturgy. Many musicians help our parishes create the different musical settings of our weekend Masses. All ages may participate. Join us in song; consider the many ways you can help praise God through music!
The Adult Choir rehearses every Tuesday evening, 6:30-8:00 pm and sing every weekend, alternating between the 5:00 pm Saturday and the 9:00 am Sunday Masses during the school year. They also sing at various holy days and provide music for parish funerals as needed. We are so blessed with this dedicated group of men and women.
We rehearse Tuesday evenings at 5:15 pm during the school year. Volunteers in high school and beyond with basic music reading skills are invited to join. Please check to see if there are openings in the group or if any substitute opportunities arise.
Our middle and high school students, grades 7-12 sing at the 5:00 pm Saturday Mass about once a month during the school year. They also sing on Christmas Eve and during Lent for the Living Stations. They rehearse after the 9:00 am Mass on the two Sundays before they lead the singing at Mass. Our young singers share their faith in their music. Instrumentalists are welcome as well!
The Spirit Singers are our youngest group, grades 3-6 and they sing at the 9:00 am Mass about once a month during the school year. They rehearse at 4:15-5:00 pm on two Wednesdays before each of their Masses. This choir also sings for the 6:00 pm Christmas Eve Mass along with the Teen Choir. Their voices are a thing to behold.
